Da Hong Pao Special Selected

The term "Da Hong Pao" is often used to describe any tea harvested in Wuyishan and crafted using traditional methods. Essentially, any Wuyi oolong tea can be referred to as "Da Hong Pao," and that would not be incorrect. So why did we choose this designation for this particular tea?

This tea comes from a single tea garden with several tree varietals inside. However, the leaves were harvested from bushes of various cultivars and processed together. The tea underwent prolonged charcoal roasting, which gave it the distinctive, traditional flavor that is synonymous with Wuyishan tea — the taste of Da Hong Pao. For this reason, we've included this tea in our collection alongside single-cultivar varieties.
