Gaba White

This GABA white tea was made from material harvested in the tea gardens of Da Long Shan in 2026. It combines traditional sun-dried white tea production with anaerobic GABA processing.

During production, the raw material passes through several cycles in a low-oxygen environment, where the air is replaced with nitrogen. Under these conditions, naturally occurring glutamic acid is converted into gamma-aminobutyric acid, or GABA.

After the GABA processing stages, the tea is finished according to traditional white tea technology and dried naturally in the sun. This hybrid method gives the tea an unusually mature character, while preserving the softness and natural sweetness associated with white tea.

Although recently produced, its flavour resembles that of a white tea aged for five to seven years. The liquor is darker and sweeter than that of a young white tea, with pronounced notes of ripe fruit. The fresh green and floral tones usually found in young white tea become softer and less dominant.

The flavour is smooth, deep and naturally sweet, complemented by the bright, refreshing acidity characteristic of GABA tea. The result is a balanced white tea with the mature profile of an aged tea and the distinctive character created through GABA processing.
