Lao Cong, or "old trees," of the "Honey Orchid Aroma" variety (known as Mi Lan Xiang in Chinese), is grown in the highlands of Guangdong province. These trees, over 40 years old, have a well-developed root system, allowing them to absorb essential nutrients from the soil, which gives the tea its deep, vibrant flavor.
This tea is produced using traditional methods, with a strong fermentation process and deep roasting over charcoal, which helps preserve the full range of aromas and flavors that define this variety. The dry leaf aroma reveals bright notes of tropical fruits, delicate berries, and floral undertones, with subtle hints of fig.
The brewed tea has a rich, pink-gold color and a refined scent of caramel popcorn. Its flavor is smooth, clean, and creamy with a sandalwood-like note, enveloping the palate with a soft, silky texture and light spicy accents. With each infusion, the tea's complex floral layers unfold, leaving a refreshing, cooling aftertaste.
